Resources and me

I just read an article concerning a law in Germany. People who waste food will be fined. In the article the writer quote the officer's word "ORDER WHAT YOU CAN CONSUME, MONEY IS YOURS BUT RESOURCES BELONG TO THE SOCIETY. THERE ARE MANY OTHERS IN THE WORLD WHO ARE FACING SHORTAGE OF RESOURCES. YOU HAVE NO REASON TO WASTE RESOURCES."

What a profound philosophy! So thoughtful and appropriate! To think deeper, isn't wasteful will lead of shortage of resources? In addition, I think spending resources without replenishing resources will add on the wasteful effect.

In modern days, people spend so much of natural resources yet the replenishment of it is slow and little. We keep on downsizing natural jungles, instead we build concrete jungles which can never be compared to nature jungles. God created a wonderful world with perfect ecology system but human being slowly destroying it by our way of life. We pay little attention to the need to maintain healthy ecology system, claiming that we have money and we can spend it whaever way we want. We say we have to make progresses, developments and that is the sign of growth. Some natural things has to go to make soom for modernization. But sad to say that we use our money to spend wastefully on resources yet doesn't bring us the much advancement in life. There are still lots of people out there living in quite primitive lifesyle.

Oh human, don't you know that at the end of the day, we all have to give an account for everything we have done? Don't you know that we are just fellow steward of God's universe? The German officer said it right! Resources do not belong to us. It is meant to be shared by all human being on planet earth. God lend it to us, not sell it to us. We are not it's owner.

Having this thought will definitely change our way of life. We will in turn appreciate all the things we have or come across. Having a sip of coffee will be more meaningful and refreshing to our soul. We tends to give thank to the mighty Creator for the earth, the farmer for the beans, and the various service providers that bring the coffee to our table.

It's none of my business

I was reading the Facebook news about the little brown poodle dog being abused and the video clip for 15 minutes of abuse was published in YouTube. Many people wrote on facebook to show their concern for the poor dog. However, there's one lady wrote something like this, it is no use for people to write on facebook telling their anger on the issue as this matter is none of their business. It is up to the dog owner how to treat the animal.

Many times we have the same mentality with the lady. We try to avoid issues that is not directly concerned us. Sometimes things may happened just next us and we treat it as nothing happened. We tell ourselves, try to avoid conflicts or troubles by not interfering in the case. Didn't we realised that our silence may allow hurts or even death to a person or animal.

I felt sorry for the poor dog which is so helpless and fearful of its owner. It may felt confused and angry. Confused why human is so unpredictable. Sometimes pad its head to show love and sometimes ill treated him, made him stand on back legs for a long time which is not a natural things for dog. It felt angry because its loving affection was returned with abuse and pain. Ordinary dogs naturally are very loving and like to draw close to human. They will not attack people without a cause.

Does the matter really not concern me? May be we don't really know God.

When Isrealites were abused in Eygpt during OT time. If God were to take the attitude of it does not concern me, today Isrealites will remain living in Eygpt, as slaves.

Didn't God summon his people not to collect their crops to the fullest, try to leave some for widows, orphans and foreigners who stay in the country? Did God told Isrealites to care for their own issues only? Didn't God care for widows, orphans and the helpless one? Didn't God say to love your neighbours as yourself? No matter how bad a person is, he or she will not simply hurt themself. They will not inflict injury or pain to self.

Human (creatures) are walking against the rules of our creator (God). We violate the rules and guidance of God, which intention is to bring an upholding and healthy society. In return we hurt ourselves through ways of life that is unhealthy, chaos, careless etc.

It is concerned us. We are in the big society of the World. We are living in the same planet earth. If we are not careful, the virus of careless living, hatred, no self-control, selfishness, indiference will one day find us. Do you want to be affected with virus or you want to get rid of the virus before it is too late?

I definitely want to live in a warm society. Not in a cold cold corner of the world by myself.

People view life differently. Some say it is pain. Some say it is happiness. Others say it is a journey, suffering, a drawing, a puzzle etc.

Children say life is happiness, games and friends. No school days are happiest days. But in the eyes of orphans or single parent children, life is no hope, less joy, lots of work.

Young people says life is an adventure. There are years ahead for young people to explore, to build up their blocks of life, to venture into a life long business. Things and issues in life are yet to be found. No experience, no gain is their slogan.

Young married couples say life is family. Family members make their life. Family is the centre of their life. All activities of life points to the benefit of family members.

Middle age adults say life is meaningless. Work, coming home, rest and work, coming home, rest. It is a non-stop cycle. And all men rest with their ancestors eventually. It is another life cycle. A nother meaningless issue.

Old people says life is boring, with less activities. Waiting for THE day to come. Their motion is slow and so with hours of a day to pass. It is quietness and sometimes loneliness.

The Ecclesiastes said, life is meaningless. Remember your Creator before the days arrive when you are too weak to do things you used to enjoy doing. Worship God and enjoy life while you still have strength. Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, "I find no pleasure in them"--before the sun and the light and the moon and the stars grow dark, and the clouds return after the rain; when the keepers of the house tremble, and the strong men stoop, when the grinders cease because they are few, and those looking through the windows grow dim;when the doors to the street are closed and the sound of grinding fades; when men rise up at the sound of birds, but all their songs grow faint;when men are afraid of heights and of dangers in the streets; when the almond tree blossoms and the grasshopper drags himself along and desire no longer is stirred. Then man goes to his eternal home and mourners go about the streets. Remember him--before the silver cord is severed, or the golden bowl is broken; before the pitcher is shattered at the spring, or the wheel broken at the well,and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it...........Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole of man.For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil. Life is a journey home. Homeward-bound to our Father's house. Along the journey, God allowed challeges, provided protection, beautiful sceneries, flowers, trees, needs are taken care of. The journey may not be all smooth. Sometimes rain sometimes sunshine. Sometimes storm sometime breeze. These are colors to life, they make our life pictures beautiful, vibrant & lifely. In my eyes, life is beautiful and meaningful. And it is purpose driven, because of God.
